Local children enjoyed a great day out when they visited the clifftop home of the Memorial and sampled the hands-on fun on offer in The Scramble Experience.
The year six youngsters from Folkestone St Mary's Church of England Primary Academy were given a tour by site manager Jules Gomez and enjoyed seeing our replica Hurricane and Spitfire as well as the other attractions at the site.
Class teacher Sara Bowdery wrote to thank Jules and the team for the "fantastic experience" and said they had found the Christopher Foxley-Norris Memorial Wall "fascinating", spending "lots of time scanning and discussing the number and variety of names displayed there".
Jules added: "We warmly welcome school trips to the Memorial and we love to see how fascinated the children are as they learn about the Few and about the bravery they displayed more than 80 years ago. As well as The Scramble Experience, we have a dedicated learning space, the Geoffrey Page Centre, within The Wing, as well as teaching resources."
