Volunteer Steve Duffy.has done a fantastic job of refurbishing these two benches at the Memorial site, helping the Trust keep its clifftop home in tip top condition for our visitors.
The Trust relies on volunteers to help with all sorts of activities at the site - from welcoming our visitors to serving in the shop, helping in the Cockpit Cafe and even keeping the garden areas tidy. It's fair to say that without the volunteers we would not be able to keep the site open seven days a week.
Most of our volunteers come from Capel-le-Ferne or nearby and all develop a special bond with the site and its ambition to 'remember the Few'.
We are, of course, always looking for more help. Even if you can only spare a few hours a week, why not pop into the site or drop us a line and chat about how you might be able to play your part in supporting this very special place?
