The Trust was represented at a special tribute to the men of the Royal Air Force when Hon Secretary Patrick Tootal and Events Organiser Janet Tootal attended a commemorative event at the Runnymede Air Forces Memorial.
Patrick and Janet were invited to a commemorative service to mark that 70th anniversary of the Memorial organised by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
The event also marked the recent floodlighting of the site by benefactor Alastair Kerr, who also provided the impressive lighting that illuminates the various elements that make up the Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne at dusk every evening.
The impressive Memorial at Runnymede was designed by Sir Edward Maufe to reflect the shape of the air traffic control towers that welcomed home those aircrew fortunate enough to return from a sortie. It commemorates more than 20,000 aviators on its stone panels.
The moving service was conducted by the Rev (Squadron Leader) David Skillen, with a guard of honour provided by the Royal Air Force King's Colour Squadron and excellent music by the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment.
