Hero of the Battle of Britain

Malcolm

Wing Commander Robert Stanford Tuck DSO, DFC**, AFC will be the subject of what promises to be a fascinating afternoon talk being given at Tenterden, Kent on Wednesday 28 February.

The talk is being given by Dr Helen Doe, herself the daughter of another of 'the Few', Wing Commander Bob Doe DSO DFC*, and the author of a new book, Stanford Tuck - Hero of the Battle of Britain.

Helen's talk, which begins at 1.30pm at St Mildred's Church Hall in the attractive Wealden town, will be introduced by author Melody Foreman, who has previously given talks on her own work as part of the Trust's Sunday afternoon events series.

In a review of Helen's impressive new biography, Melody wrote: "This book eloquently reveals a dynamic insight into a man who combined flight and fight with ultimate passion during the suffering and horrors of war. Written with sympathy and elan."

Tickets are just £10 and can be reserved by emailing melodyforeman73@gmail.com
