It's a sellout!

Malcolm

We are delighted to announce that our talk by former Red Arrow Mike Ling on Sunday 13 February is now sold out.

If you missed the chance to pick up tickets for what promises to be a fascinating talk, don't despair - there are plenty of other equally good presentations in the pipeline!

The series will continue with a talk by Richard Kornicki CBE DL entitled For Your Freedom and Ours - The Polish Air Force in the West on Sunday 27 February.

Richard is the son of the late Gen. Bryg. Franciszek Kornicki, who was the last surviving Polish Squadron commander when he died aged 100 in 2017. He flew in the defence of Poland in 1939, then in France and finally in Britain, where he commanded 317 (City of Wilno) Squadron.

As Chairman of the Polish Air Force Memorial Committee, Richard works closely with senior members of the RAF and the Polish Air Force to maintain the memory of the Polish aircrews' achievements during the second world war, and this promises to be a fascinating talk about the contribution made by the righty famed Poles.

The talks will continue with a presentation by Richard Chambers from the Mission Aviation Fellowship on Sunday 13 March. Richard's father, John Chambers, was a Senior Aircraftman in the RAF in the 1950s and his grandfather, George, was a pilot in 207 squadron, 5 group, Bomber Command a decade earlier.

Richard has a history of working in the charitable sector and for the past six years has maintained the family aviation link as a fundraiser for MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship): the world’s largest humanitarian airline.

Next in the series will be a talk by aviation historian Andy Saunders on Sunday 3 April, while later that month, on Sunday 24 April, Nick Oram will round off the spring series with Spitfire Pilots: Legends of the Air, based on his new book of that name.

All the talks start at 2.30pm and last for approximately one hour.

Ticket prices:

Friend of the Few (Hurricane) Free Entry

Friend of the Few (Spitfire) £5

Guest of Friend of the Few (max one per friend) £6

Non-members of Friends of the Few £12.
