Artist Nicola Rose's superb exhibition of atmospheric oil paintings will remain on display in the Geoffrey Page Centre at The Wing until Sunday 1 May.
Visitors to the exhibition have been so impressed with the work that the Trust has decided to keep the paintings on display for longer than planned. The extension will also give those who found visiting difficult because of the Operation Brock disruption on the M20 a second chance to see the works.
Guests who braved the disruption to attend a preview evening enjoyed hearing broadcaster and friend of the Trust Jan Leeming read poetry by Tim Borrill, whose work helped to inspire the stunning canvasses painted by Nicola.
The exclusive exhibition, entitled The Edge, features new paintings that combine bird imagery with seascapes and reflect the artist’s fascination with the power of the elements. The works are dramatic and compelling, creating a strong sense of place.
The Trust will receive a commission from any works that are sold. The exhibition is free to enter and can be visited whenever The Wing is open, from 10am to 5pm, seven days a week.
