Here's your chance to enjoy a fantastic evening at The Wing in the presence of film and TV star Tyler Butterworth.
The Darling Buds of May star will be presenting his fascinating talk about his parents, a remarkable tale that had the audience spellbound when he delivered it on behalf of the Trust in the splendid surroundings of London's RAF Club in October last year.
Tyler is the son of Carry on… star Peter Butterworth and renowned female impressionist Janet Brown, and will be telling the personal story behind their remarkable lives at this exciting fund-raising event on Thursday 18 May.
Beginning at 7pm, this unique opportunity also gives visitors the chance to visit the clifftop Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne at dusk, when many of the attractions at the venue are floodlit and the views over the Channel towards France can be spellbinding.
The evening will feature video footage of Tyler's father, a regular of the renowned “Carry On...” team and his mother, at one time the country’s leading female impressionist whose imitation of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher made her a household name.
Tyler will also tell the extraordinary story of Peter’s wars years as a POW in Stalag Luft III and how Janet became the first woman to entertain the troops across Europe after D-Day.
This unique celebration of two fascinating people, told by the man who knew them best, will be followed by a fork supper and really is an evening not to be missed.
Tickets, at £35, are available by telephoning Patrick Tootal on 01732 870809.
